Sticky Maple Syrup Stir Fry

Hello everyone,

We are testing a new feature on our website today, so what's the better way to do it than posting a delicious and quick to prepare recipe? This dish has lots of veggies, no added salt (apart from the one in soy sauce) and can be made under 10 minutes, prep and all!

It's also a great way to include our amazing Organic Maple Syrup in your kitchen, it's pure, sweet and full of antioxidants, it also has a lower glycemic index than most sweeteners and syrups! (FUN FACT - Did you know that 1 tablespoon of maple syrup contains 20mg of calcium and 42 mg of potassium?).

Ingredients (makes 2 servings):

500g of mixed vegetables - stir-fry mixes work best in my opinion! + splash of sesame oil to fry

100g of dried wholegrain noodles + water to boil

Sauce:

⅓ cup water

⅓ cup Organic Maple Syrup

¼ cup toasted sesame oil

1.5 tsp cornflour

⅓ soy sauce

2 cloves of garlic, finely grated

Toasted sesame seeds

Method:

  1. Heat a splash of sesame oil in your wok, throw all the veggies inside, fry for few minutes. Put noodles into a saucepan filled with water and boil until cooked (as per instructions on the pack.
  2. Put all sauce ingredients into a measuring jug and whisk until mixed well.
  3. Add soft and cooked noodles to your veggies, cover with prepared sauce and fry until all veggies are cooked through and sauce reduces in volume. Done:)

That's it! Quick and easy, with wholegrains, plenty of colourful vegetables and antioxidants, what else can you want?:)
